The skin’s outer barrier helps retain moisture and protect against external irritants. That is why hydration and barrier support underpin our selection: ingredients that attract water, emollients that soften, and formulas that help limit moisture loss. We choose their balance for the skin in front of us.

We examine what the research measures, whether it concerns the ingredient or the product, and how closely it matches the benefit being promised. Evidence for hydration cannot establish every anti-ageing claim. We use those findings to select products and explain what to expect from them.

Skin type is a starting point, not a complete prescription. We consider current dryness, sensitivity, sun exposure and the products used at home. We adapt exfoliation and active ingredients accordingly, paying particular attention to tolerance when the skin is already exposed to retinoids or other exfoliants.

A longer list of active ingredients does not automatically make a better treatment. Repeated exfoliation or overlapping intensive products can increase irritation. We examine the combined routine, follow product guidance and choose complementary functions, so each addition has a reason beyond making the ritual more elaborate.

We want products that do their job and feel good to use. We try them ourselves to assess texture, application and finish, and examine their formulations to understand their skincare function. We choose each product individually, rather than taking an entire range on reputation.

We chose warm light for the intimacy of an evening spent somewhere you love. Lamps below 2700 K, arranged in layers rather than a bright overhead wash, create the setting for unwinding and enjoying the ritual.

We remember whole periods of our lives through the music we listened to. A familiar song can bring back a person, a place, a version of ourselves. What we hear during a ritual deserves that same attention. We create EDONÉ playlists for the pleasure of listening while someone looks after you, choosing the music as carefully as the treatment. You can enjoy our selection, bring your own, or spend the visit in silence.

The pleasure of a treatment depends as much on how it feels as on the products we use. We choose our tools and product textures with that in mind, and train our estheticians in technique, pressure and pace. For the textiles, we use pure cotton: bed linen with a thread count above 300 and towels above 450 GSM, washed with eco-friendly detergents.

Sometimes you recognise a place by its scent before you can put the memory into words. Fragrance can make a visit feel familiar long after it ends. We want the scents at EDONÉ to be worth remembering, and we care about their composition as much as their character. We chose soy-wax candles and selected our fragrance oils with the same attention to ingredients as to scent. We use them sparingly, with a fragrance-free setting available.

Offering someone a drink is one of the simplest ways to welcome them. You sit down, hold the cup and enjoy something prepared for you. At EDONÉ, that small act of hospitality has its own place in the ritual. We prepare tea, infusions and coffee in-house, giving you fifteen minutes to enjoy the flavour and the welcome before your treatment begins.

We are committed to reducing plastic throughout the house and eliminating it wherever possible. We consider plastic when buying products and supplies, and look for ways to use less of it in our daily work.
